Branding and Showit Website Design for Dahlia Counseling, a Therapist in Washington

When Paige, lead therapist and owner of Dahlia Counseling, first reached out to me about brand and website design, she was interested in creating a more mature and sophisticated look for her therapy practice. As a therapist who serves women mostly in their 40’s in Washington State, Paige was concerned that her branding was potentially skewing too young — and needed to revamp her website to include important information that would attract the right people and repel bad fits for her practice.

Creative Direction

Paige and I first worked together to establish a creative direction that would fit not just her vision for her branding/website, but also mesh well with her business goals. Most importantly, Paige wanted to (visually and verbally) carve out more of a niche for herself. She was not interested in appealing to every kind of person looking for a therapist; she needed to make sure that she was appealing to 1) women (mostly women in their 40’s), 2) women who want to do online therapy, and 3) women who need help in her specialty areas.

Brand Identity Design

As I developed her brand identity design, I focused on meeting these goals and relating her brand to her ideal clients’ visual preferences. Also, her tagline of “Grow the Life You Want” beautifully speaks to a core problem that her ideal client faces.

Showit Website Design

Her custom website design (built by me in Showit!) speaks directly to her ideal clients’ concerns and aspirations, and shares additional information with them. Not only does it seamlessly integrate her new, mature/sophisticated branding that resonates with her target audience (a win in itself!), but the amount of detailed content on her website helps potential clients figure out 1) cost, 2) insurance information, 3) specialty areas, 4) FAQs to browse through, and 5) additional helpful resources.

By working together, Paige was able to better communicate with her audience with her website, showcase her specialties and expertise, and weed out bad fits – which definitely saves time and energy in the long run! You can see the fully completed website for yourself here.
